Australian Law Students Learn How to Practice Law in the United States
Conway Legal's principal attorney and founding partner, Jason Conway, recently spoke with law students at universities in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, and Brisbane, Australia regarding the "how, what, when, where and why" of transitioning from law school to the practice of law in the United States. Himself a graduate of an Australian law school, Conway shared his insights with hundreds of students attending some of Australia's most prestigious law schools. Chief among them, Conway explained three factors that each Australian law student must consider when embarking on their job search in the U.S. and described the legal training necessary to qualify for legal work, how students can look for work, and which visas they should obtain. Conway encouraged students to work in the United States and explained that "there is no better time than now to do so."
